Professional group to be added in Matric and Intermediate

SOURCES: While the 10th-class students are waiting for their annual results, the Higher Education Department, Punjab, has announced that they will introduce a new group in the education system for matric and intermediate students. The name for this group will be “professional group,” and HED will introduce it into the system next year.

There has always been a debate about whether the current education system is teaching the youth technical skills. Hence, the HED has decided to start a new track that will enable young students to professional education and teach them technical skills.

For this purpose, the education department will add 7-10 new subjects in Matric and intermediate classes. These subjects might include agricultural technology, food technology, mobile application development, E-commerce, etc.

The goal of adding this new group is to educate the younger generation and equip them with tools to help them grow in certain professions.

Students will be able to select this group from next year. And this group will be a new addition to existing science, general science, arts, and other groups.
