Pakistan Medical Commission recognizes a total of 30 medical and dental colleges in KPK. Some new colleges are being recognized and might be added to the list as early as next year. Currently, we will only feature KPK Medical Colleges that are PMC-approved and linked with a public or private university.

List of Govt Medical Colleges in KPK
1- Bannu Medical College, Bannu
In the year 2006, Bannu Medical College was founded. It is one of the colleges connected to Peshawar’s Khyber Medical University. In 2011, PMDC (now PMC) granted Bannu Medical College recognition.
Every session, Bannu Medical College enrolls 100 students, based on seat allocation granted by the KPK government and the PMC.
2- Gajju Khan Medical College
Gajju Khan Medical College was founded in 2014 in Sawabi. On the main Sawabi-Jehangira road, it is located in Sawabi District. Gajju Khan Medical College admitted 55 students in each session, according to the most recent seat assignment.
3- Bacha khan Medical College
Bacha Khan Medical is named after Bacha Khan, a notable Pashto chieftain. Bacha Khan Medical College was founded in the year 2010. It lies close to Sheikh Maltoon town on the important Nowshera-Mardan Road.
Khyber Medical University is associated with Bacha Khan Medical. PMC recently increased its seating capacity to 100 seats, up from 50 when it first opened.
4- Ayub Medical College
Ayub Medical College, founded in 1979, is one of KPK’s oldest medical schools. It is situated on Abbottabad’s main Mansehra Road. It is associated with Khyber Medical University, the province’s only public medical school. Ayub Medical College has 250 seats, according to the current seat distribution by the KP Government and PMC.
5- Khyber Girls Medical College
In 2004, a separate wing of KMC for females was formed, and in 2005, Khyber Girls Medical College was established as an autonomous college.
In the 2019 PMC inspection, Khyber Girls Medical College was the only college in KPK to receive an A+. According to the most recent seat distribution, KGMC has enrolled 150 students. For the previous few years, there were 100 seats available.
6- Nowshera Medical College
On the Mardan-Nowshera Road, Nowshera Medical College is located on the Kabul River’s bank. Nowshera Medical College is one of the oldest medical schools in the province of KPK.
According to seat distribution by the KPK government, NMC recruited 110 students in MBBS for the 2020-21 academic year.
List of Private Medical Colleges in KPK
In KPK, PMC recognizes a number of private medical colleges. KPK medical and dentistry colleges are included in these figures.
1- Abbottabad International Medical College, Abbottabad
Abbottabad International Medical College is on Mansehra Road, Abbottabad’s main thoroughfare. Khyber Medical University, KMU, is a partner of AIMC. Every year, AIMC has the capacity to accept 100 MBBS students.
2- Frontier Medical College
On Mansehra Road in Abbottabad, Frontier Medical College is located. It is KPK’s oldest private medical school. Bahria University Islamabad is associated with it. According to PMC allotment, FMC can recruit 100 students in MBBS each year.
3- Muhammad College of Medicine, Peshawar
Muhammad College of Medicine is located on Budhni Road in Yaseen Abad, Peshawar, and was originally known as Al-Razi Medical College. MCM has an affiliation with Khyber Medical University. MCM is licensed by PMC to enroll 100 students in the MBBS program each year.
4- Peshawar’s northwest Medical School
One of the newer colleges in the North West School of Medicine. Hayatabad, Peshawar, Phase 5. NWSM has an affiliation with Peshawar’s Khyber Medical University. Every session, PMC assigns 100 MBBS seats to NWSM.
5- Pak International Medical College
Pak International Medical College is located in Peshawar’s Phase 5 neighborhood. It is associated with Khyber Medical University and registered with the PMC. Every year, PIMC can accept 100 MBBS students.
6- Peshawar Medical College
Peshawar Medical College is one of KPK’s top private medical schools. Every year, 150 students are admitted to Peshawar Medical College for MBBS. Peshawar Medical College has an affiliation with Ripah University in Islamabad.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council recognizes a number of private and governmental medical colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) (PMDC). Because KPK medical colleges have a restricted number of seats, applicants must perform well in the KPK entry test.
What is the fee structure of private medical colleges in KPK?
All government medical colleges in KPK have nearly identical fee structures. The total fee for five years of MBBS ranges from 4 to 8 lacs. Choose the medical college according to your convenience or the one which you can afford.
