New Subjects in matric date sheet

The new subject that the Punjab boards have added to the date sheet is Tarjuma Tul Quran. As the name indicates, this subject aims to give the students a better understanding of the Holy Quran and, consequently, a better understanding of Islam. It achieves that by teaching students the Holy Quran via the Urdu or English translation. This subject is in both the 9th and 10th grades. It will be the first time students will take the exam for this subject this year. It contains 100 marks, 50 marks each in 9th and 10th grade.

What are the new syllabi for matric exams?

Another change is in the syllabus for Matric students. With this change, the boards have catered to the non-muslim population of students. Muslim students will take the exam for Islamiat. However, the students of other faiths will attempt the paper for Civics. Both of these subjects have existed for some time. However, there have been changes in some chapters. Some chapters were added, while some material was removed in both subjects.

Hence, these were two changes that are going to be significant in both the 9th and 10th exams this year. This has been a part of changed policies in the Punjab boards. Big changes are coming, and these changes are to make things better for our education system, making in inclusive for the minorities, as well as teaching Muslim students the true essence of Islam, the source of knowledge, the Holy Quran.

Best of luck for the exams this year!
