What sounds sweeter to a student than the news of vacation? According to reports, the Punjab Education Minister declare the schedule of winter vacations. Winter Vacations are set to start on December 23, 2022, and end on January 15, 2022.

The Education Minister Punjab will announce winter vacation today. The Minister will hold a press conference today at 5:00 PM Pkt at Lahore.

Winter Vacations Notification 2022 Announced

The education minister announces winter vacations each year due to the extreme weather conditions in Punjab. These vacations serve not only as a break to the hard-working students but also save them from the harsh weather conditions of the winter. Usually, there is fog and smog issue in Punjab during the winter season. Due to this, not only is there a chance that students may get sick from the cold temperature, but the traffic situation also worsens because there is no visibility on the road. Hence, this prevents a lot of unfortunate traffic accidents as well.

The ministry hasn’t announced the dates for the vacations yet. These vacations are both for intermediate students as well as matric students. The university students can look for their institute to announce these vacations. The ministry can only advise the universities, but they are autonomous bodies and can make these decisions themselves. But most probably, university students will get these vacations as well. Saying it again, the most probable dates are from 23 December 2022 to 2 January 2023, the exact dates varying depending on the part of Punjab.

Why are winter vacations 2022-23 so short?

As you know, Pakistan is a country blessed with four seasons. The summer season lasts longer than any other season. That is why summer vacations are the longest. There used to be a winter season from November to February. But due to global warming, the winter season’s duration has shortened. This is surely an unfortunate thing to happen. As a result, winter vacations are shorter than summer vacations. Just a month is going to be enough for the students and teachers.

As far as government employees are concerned, their relevant departments will declare these things according to their schedules.

The students can enjoy these winter vacations. When the notification comes out, students should stay home and take full advantage of this break. Cold and flu in this season are not a joke. But you should, at the same time, try to spend this time productively.

UPDATED NOTIFICATION FOR WINTER VACATION

As we have told you, winters can be hard in this country. The winter season is brief, but it comes hard each time. The fog situation gets worse. School children do not have resistance to heat like adults. So they have to be given winter vacation. Due to worsening weather conditions in Punjab, the Higher Education Department conducted a meeting, and in that meeting, they decided to extend winter vacations. Congratulations, children, the authorities have extended the holidays. Now, you will get one week extra. All the private and public institutions shall remain closed from 2 January to 8 January 2023. Now, the colleges will open on 9 January 2023. All the exams are to be rescheduled.

The winter vacations will most probably start on 26 December and continue till the mid of December. These vacations allow students to settle down, recuperate their minds with ample rest, and enjoy the winter seasons.
