School education department to take action on teachers with poor performance

The Punjab School Education Department has decided to act against the heads and teachers of schools with poor matriculation board examination results. The school department is compiling the records and checking the poor performance on the exams that students failed.

The results were made out there on July 31. The school department will investigate those who performed poorly in the matriculation annual board exams and will take appropriate action against the heads. The passing rate this year is around 80 %.

Teachers must achieve 74% or higher or face consequences determined by the Secretary of Higher Education.

There is an option for those students who have failed or received poor grades in their annual exams will be able to give their exams again. Here is the schedule:

Deadline with single fee.12 August 2023
Deadline with a double fee16 August 2023
Deadline with a single fee.19 August 2023

The boards are preparing for the supplementary exams with the new policy. This allows new applicants to sit for the exams. It allows them to submit an admission form to the board office and apply online.
