The medical and dental college admission test (MDCAT) is designed. The test is conducted by Pakistan Medical Dental Council every year to enable public and private medical colleges admission tests for willing students. MDCAT syllabus 2023 is aimed to help the candidates for preparation.

Structure
The PMDC MDCAT test is designed to have 200 multiple-choice questions. These MCQs examines a student through different portions of pre-medical course like Biology, physics, and chemistry. The time allowed for the MDCAT test is 3.5 hours.
The minimum passing percentage is 60. No student below these marks percentage is entertained.

Subjects and their weight
The following are the subjects for which medical students are assessed through the UHSMDCAT syllabus.
Biology
This is the most important subject defined syllabus. It contains 32% marks, which is the maximum weightage out of all. Students would attempt 68 MCQs to answer. This part must be prepared well. Students who lack the preparation for biology lead to failure as it covers the maximum part of the exam. You should attempt thoroughly each question and answer those whose answers you don’t know. Chemistry
Chemistry is the second subject that a student has to attempt according to the national MDCAT syllabus. It contains 26.5% marks out of a total of 100% on chemical reactions etc. You would attempt 56 MCQs once you do the MDCAT 2024 registration. It is the second-highest weightage to consider. Therefore, you should prepare it well. For getting high marks, you should attempt all questions, and don’t leave any questions as it has no negative marking.
Physics
The third most important subject according to the syllabus. It contains 26.5% marks out of a total of 100% in the MDCAT. You would attempt 56 MCQs. It is also the third-highest weightage to consider. Prepare it well from preparation books.
English
The English subject contains 10% marks out of a total of 100%. You will have to attempt 20 MCQs of synonyms, antonyms, sentence structure, sentence completion, and other types of questions according to the syllabus. Prepare it side by side with the major subjects, gain experience from past papers, and it will become a piece of cake for you
Difficulty level
The paper is designed in a hierarchal manner. It has three levels in terms of difficulty. There are 20 easy MCQs in the national MDCAT entry test which makes it easy level. This level is aimed to benefit the students most easily.
Finally, there are 20 MCQs that are hard to attempt. These MCQs are aimed to benefit the most deserving candidates who have worked hard throughout the entire strength. In other words, this level defines the top three position holders of different provinces and Pakistan.
