Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) programs prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to practice nursing. The Program is designed to prepare clinically competent nurses. The Program prepares nurses to provide holistic care by applying critical thinking and serving as change agents in nursing practice and education.

The Program consists of four years of academic study and a mandatory internship for one year. After five years, students are required to pass the PNC licensure exam. The PNC licensure exam will allow students to become Registered Nurses.

Sheikh Fatima Institute of Nursing and Health Sciences announced the Generic BSN Degree program (2022-2026)
This is good news for all the young students aspiring to become nurses and serve in hospitals. Sheikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute has announced the BSN degree program for the 2022-2026 batch. This is a generic BSN course. The duration of this course is 4 years. Eligibility criteria for BSN 4-year program
You need to fulfill the following requirements. PNC and UHS set these requirements.
- Matric Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)
- Age: 17-25 years old.
- Fsc (Pre-medical) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology group.
- Minimum 50% in Intermediate-level
- If you have a Hafiz-e-Quran certificate, 20 marks will be added to Fsc.

Admission schedule
Now, let’s talk about the schedule.
Applicants can get admission forms from the nursing institute. They will get it after they have paid a bank challan form of 500 PKR. The candidate has to make this payment in NBP Sheikh Zayed Branch, Lahore. The account number is 3154820895

Degree Programs in Nursing
Students interested in nursing can be admitted to the following degree programs offered by different nursing schools.
1. BS Nursing (Generic-04 Year Degree Program)
In this four-year Program, nursing students are trained to provide safe, competent, and compassionate care following theory and professional standards. The curriculum emphasizes relational practice, leadership, critical nursing inquiry, and nursing ethics.

2. Post RN BSN/Post RN BSM ( 02 years Degree Program)
It is a two-year program designed to provide experienced registered nurses with the knowledge and skills to practice clinically competent nursing care.

The following are the criteria for admission in Post RN BSN/Post RN BSM.

3. Masters in Nursing MSN ( 02 year Degree Program)
It is usually completed after a nurse obtains a bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.
The master’s degree in nursing opens up the possibility of working as a nurse educator, an administrator, or a health policy advisor, among other career options.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are the criteria for admission to a Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).

Diploma Programs in Nursing
Students interested in nursing can take admissions in the following diplomas offered by different nursing schools.
1. Nurse Midwife/Post-Basic Speciality
During the Post-Basic Midwifery Programme, a professional nurse midwife is equipped with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to deliver safe, effective, evidence-based health care and assume responsibility for their practice. It is a one-year diploma program.

Only registered nurses (RN) are eligible to apply for this diploma.
2. Lady Health Visitors (LHV)
In Pakistan, lady health visitors (LHVs) have been a specific cadre of health care providers. Their services include basic nursing care, maternal child health services, and community worker training in urban and rural communities. It is a 2-year diploma program.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet one of the following academic levels:

3. Community Midwife (CMW)

The CMW diploma program focuses on training rural women as midwives. It is an 18 months diploma program.

Candidates interested in getting admission to Community Midwife must fulfill the following criterion.

4. Family Welfare Workers (FWW)
Family health workers were put into operation as part of a neighborhood health center program. A resident given requisite training as a multipurpose worker can perform in-home nursing and social advocacy. It is a 2 years diploma program.

Previously known as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), this course is only for females. It is accredited by the Pakistan Nursing Council in Islamabad and affiliated with the Nursing Examination Board in Peshawar.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet one of the following academic levels:
