Punjab Announces Winter School Schedules Starting on 15 October
A change in school hours has been announced by the School Education Department (SED) due to the winter weather conditions and smog conditions in Punjab. Both public and private schools will have school hours of 8:30 AM to 2 PM Monday through Thursday and Saturday, and 8:30 AM to 12 PM on Friday.
The girls’ school will begin 15 minutes before the boys’ school during the week and will operate from 8:15 AM to 1:45 PM, while on Friday, it will run from 8:15 AM to 11:45 PM. School timings will be finalized by the Secretary of School Education.
Murad Raas, Punjab’s Minister for School Education, has announced that extra classes will not be charged to students as part of this initiative.
