Karachi University appoints a security guard as a criminology lecturer

The security guard from the University of Karachi (UoK) has been appointed as a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Criminology of the University of Karachi (UoK) following the completion of a Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Criminology.

At the same time as completing his coursework and earning his MPhil degree, Akhtar Nawaz worked night shifts during the day.In a video for a news channel, his Master’s thesis focused on the challenges facing law enforcement and the government in controlling street crime. Moreover, Nawaz intends to pursue a doctorate in philosophy (Ph.D.).

In his letter to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government regarding the water shortage in the province, Nawaz, originally from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, says he gained a lot of knowledge after attending university. In response to his request, he was given night shift duties so that he could devote more time to his studies during the day, and he believes that sacrifice is necessary in order to achieve success.
